2016 Nissan Maxima:

The original model of the Maxima was offered by the company back in year 1989. It was light in weight, agile and kept itself up very well with the range of other prestigious cars in the market. With every year, the Maxima got bigger and bigger moving away from its basic purpose. The all new 2016 Nissan Maxima is expected not to be the second coming. It will come in various trims, ranging from the base S model to full fledge loaded Platinum. It will be true to say that with this new model Nissan is sending a sports package for us.

The 2016 Nissan Maxima is completely redesigned with an all new metal sheet. We all will have to wait till April to know more details about the features of the vehicle, its engine and fuel economy.

If we look at the Nissan’s portfolio, then the Maxima is considered to be the longest running models. Over 35 years we have seen it evolving from sporty tight four door vehicle to luxurious full size sedan. With redesigned 2016 Maxima, the company has decided to shake thing a little.

This is an eighth generation model and it has a comprehensive restyled built that starts with a new grille, front end and headlights. Overall design moves towards the four door sedans adopting a fastback couple style roof in order to hide the sedan-ness of the cars. Sculpted sides have been seen to flow in to broad rear quarters. Its “floating roof” is a clever trick separating the front and the roof, rear pillars and the center from one another visually. This in fact emphasizes the coupe effect.

The design is closely designed on the basis of recent sport sedan concept. It might appear busy, polarized or unflattering but the vehicle is not at all conventional and boring.

Under the hood:
Power train combination of the 2016 Nissan Maxima has still not been confirmed by the company. But it can be bet upon that it will be carrying forward its current configuration i.e. a 3.5-liter V6 along with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that drive the front wheels. The V6 in the current model of Maxima offers 261 pound feet of torque and 290 horsepower with combined 22 miles per gallon capacity for the users.

There might be chances that we are expecting more of a high performance 2016 Nissan Maxima with manual paddle shifting and a dual clutch automatic transmission. It may be because we just cannot see the CVT making the cut on this kind of vehicle.

New features offered by the 2016 Nissan Maxima:
The new 2016 Nissan Maxima cars is expected to offer same attractive features in the market of recent crossovers such as redesigned Murano crossover. Most prominent among these is the zero gravity seats. These seats contour the natural shape of the body. They are specifically supportive for the mid and lower back and are considered to be the best seats available these days.

Just like Murano, the 2016 Nissan Maxima should be impressive for the users with a comfortable cabin that is more advanced with several updated features like smart phone integration and touch screen interface. Inside the car you will come across trade off for the sleek tapering profiled coupe; reduced rear headroom. Well don’t feel low as it is not a bad trade.

Price of the 2016 Nissan Maxima:
The company has not offered any exact price at the moment but it is expected to be sold at $ 36,000.

The new 2016 Nissan Maxima will have to face the challenges of reasserting itself among the top sedans in the market.  This includes the Kia Cadenza, Chevrolet Impala as well as Toyota Avalon. The Chrysler 300 is offering similar updated interior of the vehicle in a rear drive package whereas the new Acura TLX is another name to be considered under this category.

In short the 2016 Nissan Maxima is not a four door sport car anymore and it can be with a different transmission. It will be a great car to be bought no doubt.

Though a lot is expected of the 2016 Nissan Maxima but still we all will have to wait till April to get the vehicle unveiled by the company.
