2016 Hyundai Elantra:

The 2016 Hyundai Elantra has been well equipped with a value edition trim level with optional and a bit of standard contents in the deal. Some news also tells us that the limited trim levels have gained the keyless ignition and entry along with the automatic climate control. Meanwhile the Sport gives up the leather seats that were standard.

The 2016 Elantra looks fresh as compared to its other rivals small sedans in the market. No doubt it is an achievement for the company in every manner. At the same time the fact remains there that this current Elantra was introduced in the market back in year 2011 and since then it has been exceeding all the major players of its tenure. People must be wondering if the vehicle will continue to compete against its rival in the market or not or will it lose its charisma.

If we look at its value proposition then no doubt the Elantra has not been aged even a day. The Hyundai has always been known to over throw the features than one can actually expect and the trend seems to continue for the year 2016 with a price that is attractive for value edition. The vehicle has been well adorned with the features like alloy wheels, keyless entry and ignition and a sunroof. This new trim level will make you think and question about the pricier Sport and the Limited. At the same time it is worth stating that both these trims come with more accoutrements that would be expected of them. Moreover, both the trim levels are lower priced as compared to the premium versions of several competitors.

In case anyone tries to locate signs of age in the equipment list, then it will not be located there. It means that you will have to know the Hyundai a little better then. If we look at it against rivals, then no doubt the 2016 Elantra will impress its users with its quiet cabin. Its suspension strives to absorb major impacts so it does not ride in a smoother way that other small sedans do. At the same time its 1.8-liter engine struggles to climb hills or when it has to deal with roster of passengers. Selecting the Sport with stronger engine of 2.0-liter can be a wiser decision but in this case you will lose fuel efficiency to some extent.

On contrary looking at the rivals of the 2016 Elantra, for instance Mazda 3, you will come across its refined performance but no fuel economy. Same is very much true for the Ford Focus. Affordable Kia Forte, Honda Civic and Volkswagen Jetta; all are there in the market with larger package. But beyond everything the 2016 Elantra still takes hold of being a part of a distinguished company and that tells a lot about the fundamental goodness of the vehicle in every sense and manner. In other words the vehicle has struggled at its best in keeping itself at the top of the list in every best prospect possible.

Performance of the 2016 Elantra:
The 2016 Elantra SE, Limited as well as Value Edition has been powered with a strong 1.8-liter cylinder engine. It offers 145 horsepower and 130 pound feet of torque.A six speeds manual transmission are standard on the SE while automatic six speeds is optional here. It is standard on the Limited and Value edition. The vehicle reached 60 miles per hour in just 9.7 seconds which is little slower than the average for the segment.

Estimated fuel economy values for the vehicle have been known to be 31 miles per gallon combined i.e. 27 miles per gallon within the city and 37 miles per gallon on the highway. Similarly other trim levels offer 32 miles per gallon combines i.e. 28 miles per gallon within the city and 38 miles per gallon on the highway with the automatic transmission.

If we talk about the Elantra Sport, its 2.0-liter four cylinder engine offers 173 horsepower and 154 lb. ft. of torque. The automatic transmission is optional while manual is standard. At test tracks, the Elantra Sport with automatic transmission reach 60 miles per hour in 8.2 seconds. EPA fuel economy value estimated for the Sport is 28 miles per gallon combined i.e. 24 miles per gallon within the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highway with manual transmission. On the other hand with automatic transmission this value has been found to be 28 miles per gallon combined i.e. 24 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway.

The interior of the 2016 Elantra remains quiet at freeway speeds and this is welcoming in this segment. The Elantra is secure and stable in every manner. It has everything that users expect of Hyundai to offer to them.
